Shopping with Khemrys

Despite her intense fear of traveling by car, necessity meant a trip to several stores before heading back to the Circus. In an attempt to offer comfort, he stretched his arm across her body and gripping the seatbelt for her to have something a little more solid to cling to. She had seemed calmed by Nathaniel before they'd dropped him off, and it seemed to help a little this time as well: she held tightly to his arm, hiding her eyes from the terror of automotive travel.
Jason felt bad for her fear (he was nearly choking on it in the car), but he absolutely did not mind the way she clung to him.

Thankfully for her, they were very short trips.
